Welcome to Truro Only

Truro's newly renovated and distinctive cathedral dominates the city but does not overshadow its charm and elegance with its cobbled streets and tiny alleyways. Here you can find many tiny specialist shops as well as household names to cater for every taste of shopper making it one of the best shopping centres in the West. There are also two busy covered markets with a range of specialist shops and a modern livestock market lies just on the outskirts serving the whole of Cornwall.

If it's culture you are after, then you should visit the Royal Cornwall Museum. Here you can learn about the history of Cornwall and see many international exhibitions or go to the top of Lemon Street to see the impressive monument to the explorer Richard Lander. Truro's streets, however, are never lacking in entertainment and are often full of colourful, fire eating and miming buskers as well as Punch and Judy shows and stalls, especially in the Summer months.

To round off your trip, why not try a relaxing stroll along Riverside Walk and watch the boats cruising along the river on their way to Falmouth.
